Costa Rica has successfully developed the tourist product offer, based mainly on Nature and Adventure, added to the political stability, and a strong conscience in affairs regarding sustainable tourism. This international built image made Costa Rica what it is today, one of the most attractive tourist destinations.

It is important for travel agents to have access to relevant data about a destination, hence being able to talk about them to their customers. In order to clearly communicate every detail they need prior to making a travel decision.

“Amigo de Costa Rica ”…what is it all about?

This program consists in a collection of six digital booklets that you have to read and study in order to learn about Costa Rica 's 10 tourist regions, their main attractions and facilities for travelers. Every booklet will be released every two months in conjunction with the digital version of Destinos Magazine.

All information comes in two languages, and at the end of each brochure there is a questionnaire (content related), which has to be filled out along with the completed register form, and later sent to the mail assigned. By doing this process the information will be recorded in the Programa de Capacitación (training program).

If you comply with the requirements and a minimum of three completed forms, you will have the opportunity of receiving the Certificado de Agente Especializado (Specialized Travel Agent Certification) in person, during an incentive trip to Costa Rica , with all the local expenses covered.

Certificates

. By answering one questionnaire you will receive a certificate that will credit you as an AGENTE BASICO (basic –level- travel agent) with basic knowledge about Costa Rica .

. The AGENTE INTERMEDIO (intermediate –level- travel agent) certificate will be obtained once you answer the second questionnaire.

. The moment you respond the third questionnaire you will be given the AGENTE AVANZADO (advanced –level- travel agent) certificate.

. The certificate that credits you as an AGENTE ESPECIALIZADO (specialized –level- travel agent), will be handed to you during an incentive trip to Costa Rica, as a recognition of your work and interest in promoting Costa Rican tourism. ( This prize will be awarded only to the travel agent that has obtained the prior certificates: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and the previous consent of his qualities. Restrictions Apply).

How can I access the digital booklets?

• Every digital booklet will be included within the digital version of Destinos Magazine, and can be accessed by clicking the icon located on the ICT ad.

• By downloading the link when you visit the website www.revistadestinos.com , and entering the digital magazine.

• You can register on line. Go to Registro.

• Due to its format the booklet can be sent via e-mail.

Other characteristics of the digital booklet

• You don't need Internet connection for its use.

• You can surf the web, look for attractions, hotels and more.

• You can easily print documents, and ads. It has a 3D turn page, and also enables you to mail information to other contacts.
